Petridish : Dunedin Fringe Festival

Petridish

8 Stafford Street

Wheelchair / Accessible Access

At the time of writing, construction is underway at this venue to ensure a wheelchair accessible entrance is available; please contact the venue about this.

The main entrance has one external step and eight internal stairs; the street entrance is through a glass door that is 830mm wide, and there is an additional glass door at the top of the stairs that is 740mm wide.

The seating in this venue is flexible, so any number of wheelchair users can be accommodated. There is a strip of railing along the floor into the performance space.

Bathrooms

There are two accessible toilets available. The first is close to the performance space and has a railing, but has less room to approach. It is through a door that is 760mm wide, and the stall is 1600mm by 2100mm.

The second accessible toilet is in the office section of the building, through a glass door that is 920mm wide and then a passage that is 820mm wide. The bathroom door is 800mm and the stall is 1950mm by 1900mm; there is no railing. The floor is slippery leading into this bathroom.

Approach to Venue

This venue is on Stafford Street, near the bottom of the hill. There is plenty of on-street parking, but no reserved accessible parks, although there is a loading zone that could be used for pick-up and drop-off. There are bus stops around the corner on Princes Street.

Service Dogs

Service dogs are welcome in this venue.
