About
The Dunedin Fringe Arts Trust produces the Dunedin Fringe Festival, Amped Music Project and New Zealand Young Writers Festival, curates the White Box Gallery, and currently manages performing arts venue Te Whare o Rukutia.
Dunedin Fringe envisions a city ignited by creativity, where all people embrace art, culture and creativity into their daily lives.
We have a mission to provide platforms for creative expression that help nurture communities. We have a special focus on supporting emerging artists, and the development of new and experimental work.
Our three person Co-Leadership Team works year round, supported by skilled contractors and dedicated volunteers to deliver our programmes and activities throughout the year. Our friendly and welcoming office space, Fringe HQ, is at 19 George Street – come say hi anytime!
Our amazing volunteer Trust consists of a group of professional people with skills in public governance, event and arts management, community development, accountancy, and more.
Our current Trustees are Rebekah Mapson (Chair), Adrian Christie (Treasurer), Warren Chambers, George Dawes, Marea Colombo, David Bainbridge-Zafar, Padmini Naidu, Alice Currie, and Scott Clifford.
We’re always looking for potential new Trustees – if you’re interested, contact info@dunedinfringe.nz. Our current focus is on recruiting mana and tangata whenua, Pasifika artists, people with involvement in the Ōtepoti creative sector, and alumni of our programmes.
