'All of our collaborators are currently busy. Please wait, thank you'.

Have you ever waited on the phone for too long, with muzak playing on a loop and an irritating robotic voice telling you endlessly that your request is being processed?

Yes, you have... And so has the protagonist of solo-show The Sensemaker until she is gradually stretched beyond her limits.

With its razor-sharp humour and its unclassifiable genre, this multi-award-winning solo stages a dystopian battle between a woman and an answering machine. Returning to Dunedin after a hit run at Dunedin Fringe 2023 where it won two awards: Best in Fringe Award and the Dance/Physical Theatre Award!

'It is a dance show in which the protagonist spends much of the time standing still. It is a piece of mime which can get very noisy indeed. It is both a dream and a nightmare.' – The Peg Review

'A one in a thousand performance' – Theatreview

Winner of 16 international awards, The Sensemaker has been performed more than 130 times worldwide since 2018.

Presented alongside Embarrassed Naked Female (this show contains nudity).
